Peg Kriz, Massage Therapist & Doula

Peg has been licensed and practicing massage therapy in Oregon since 2008.  She has a bachelor's in science from Oregon State and received her massage certificate from Lane Community College in Eugene.

She became pregnant with her first child while in massage school.  This sparked her interest in the perinatal period and led Peg to continue with additional training in pregnancy, labor and delivery, and postpartum massage.  

Along with her home massage business, Peg spent 3 years working in a spa setting influencing her massage style.  She tends to use medium-heavy pressure when appropriate, but works to make the massage relaxing.  "I strive to focus on doing the 'work' that is needed, but in as relaxing a way as possible".   Most of her clients benefit from regular massage,  many coming to her after completing physical therapy for particular issues.  She often works with perinatal clients (those in pregnant or postpartum periods).

In addition to her established massage therapy practice, Peg has been offering doula services to women in the mid-Willamette Valley since 2018.  In 2018, Peg became a Birth Doula with the Community Doula Program. In 2019, Peg completed additional doula courses to register with the state of Oregon as a traditional health worker #THW000003744.  This allows Peg to serve clients on Medicaid in addition to private-pay clients.

In 2022, Peg completed coursework through Lactation Education Resources to become a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist to better serve her doula clients.
